Mee Network – Privacy Statement

We understand that you place your trust in us. Therefore, we see it as our responsibility to protect your privacy. On this page, we inform you about the data we collect when you use our website, why we collect this data, and how it enhances your user experience. This way, you understand exactly how we operate.

Identity of the Data Processor

Mee Network is a private limited company under Indian law, with an office located at Begumpet, Hyderabad. On this website, Mee Network uses the personal data described below for the purposes outlined below. Mee Network acts as the ‘data controller’ in the sense of the Data Protection Board of India (DPBI) for your personal data.

Personal Data

Personal data refers to information that can directly or indirectly identify an individual. This includes not only a person’s name and address but also their email or IP address.

Our Use of Your Personal Data

We process personal data only in ways for which you have given consent, or to the extent necessary for the execution of an agreement related to our services, or where necessary to serve a legitimate interest (which will be determined and disclosed) or in accordance with a legal obligation or provision.
For the execution of our services, legal obligations, and/or provisions, we may process the following personal data:

  • Personal data for user account registration: When registering a user account, we require at least an email address, which is necessary to activate and verify the account. Additionally, we link an IP address to the user account to prevent the need for repeated entry. We may also request your name, address, phone number, and bank details for service execution, billing, and payment processing.
  • Newsletter: We offer a newsletter to our users. If you wish to receive the newsletter, you must provide your email address. You can unsubscribe by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any newsletter.
  • Research purposes: We use your personal data for research purposes to continuously optimize our website and services. This includes tracking the number of visitors per month, the duration of visits, and the specific services accessed by different user categories.

Sharing with Third Parties & Third-Party Websites

We share your personal data with third parties only if you have explicitly given consent (by checking the box ‘I give permission to share my personal data with partners of Mee Network’).
Your personal data is shared with Mee Network’s partners if you provide consent. These partners are affiliated as suppliers of services and goods we provide to you. Sharing your personal data allows them to tailor their offerings to your specific needs, ensuring optimal service delivery.
We have signed data processing agreements with all our partners (if required) to ensure that they process your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Mee Network, as the user of these cookies, is obligated under the DBPI and the Telecommunications Act to inform you about the nature of the cookies, their usage, and your ability to delete them.
A cookie is a small file that is sent with the pages of this website and stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. The stored information can be sent back to our servers during a subsequent visit.
Our website only uses functional and analytical cookies. We utilize Google Analytics for user statistics, such as the number of unique visitors, frequently visited pages, and average visit duration. We have configured Google Analytics to ensure no personal data is shared. Cookies are used to identify devices, not individuals.
We have signed processing agreements with both parties to ensure that personal data collected through these analytical and functional services is only used for insights into website usage. The service providers themselves do not use the personal data. IP addresses are anonymized so that they cannot be traced back to individuals. Since these cookies are fully anonymized, we are allowed to place them without consent.

Retention Period of Personal Data

We retain your personal data in compliance with applicable laws and regulations for the maximum allowed retention period. This means we do not store data longer than necessary. We keep the data at least for the duration of our agreement with you. Data will be deleted as soon as possible after the agreement ends.

Data Security & Data Breach Notification

We secure our data, including your personal data, through security measures implemented by our hosting provider and an SSL certificate.
If we detect that personal data has been disclosed without our knowledge and/or used unlawfully (a ‘data breach’), we are required to report it to the supervisory authority if the breach poses a risk to your rights and freedoms. If the breach presents a high risk to you, we will also inform you unless appropriate technical and organizational security measures have been taken or remedial actions have eliminated the risk. If individual notification would require disproportionate effort, we will issue a public statement.

Rights After Providing Personal Data

Any person who has provided personal data to us has the following rights:

  • If you have given consent for the processing of your personal data, you may withdraw this consent at any time.
  • If you believe we have not handled your personal data correctly, you can file a complaint with the supervisory authority of Data Protection Board of India (DPBI), under Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act).
  • You have the right to access the personal data collected about you and to know whether we are processing it.
  • If the personal data is incorrect, you have the right to request correction or supplementation.
  • If data has been shared with third parties, we will inform them of any corrections unless it is impossible or involves unreasonable effort.
  • Under certain conditions, you can request the deletion of your personal data. If a legal ground applies, we will comply with the request.
  • You have the right to restriction of processing. If applicable, processing will be suspended under certain conditions, but the data will still be stored.
  • You can object to the processing of your personal data based on personal circumstances, direct marketing, or scientific/historical research. The success of your objection depends on the type of processing and its legal basis.
  • You have the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format to promote data portability.
  • Under specific conditions, you have the right not to be subjected to decisions based solely on automated processing. We will not make decisions solely based on automated processing without your consent or necessity for contract execution.

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, you must notify us immediately via mee@meenetwork.club . We will respond to your request within four weeks.
