How It Started
The idea for the MEE Network was born during the RedHerring ATRE Summit in Mumbai, India, from November 4-7, 2007. This prestigious tech conference, featuring a keynote by Steve Ballmer, then CEO of Microsoft, brought together over 300 global leaders.

G. Vishwanand, serving as the Indian Partner for RedHerring Research, played a key role in organizing this high-profile event. He managed speaker and talent coordination, PR and media activities, strategic partnerships with Mint-Hindustan Times, Meru, and Taj Hotels, end-to-end logistics, and comprehensive marketing, including branding, advertising, email campaigns, ticketing, and sponsorships.
Through this experience, he identified a major gap—while technological innovation was thriving, many promising startups lacked strategic marketing expertise, networking opportunities, and meaningful connections to maximize their potential and drive business growth.
